Shinku (NTE): Kit Changes, Outfits and Banner History

Shinku is a transformation-style damage dealer and one of the most-searched characters in NTE — her name appears in the Google Trends rising list for the game at over +3,500% growth across the last quarter. Here is what is officially on the record.

Her element, Arc type and role are consistent across the two independent trackers we cross-check; her rarity is confirmed by the official patch notes, which called her an “Exclusive S-Class Character” at debut.

Can you still get Shinku?

Not right now. Before the Dawn closed on July 29, 2026, and no rerun has been announced. NTE reruns do happen — Nanally is rerunning in Version 1.3 on The Ichi-daime board — but on the evidence so far they arrive a couple of versions later, not immediately. Keep an eye on the banner schedule; we update it within 48 hours of each patch note.

What Version 1.3 changed for her

Shinku got more attention in the 1.3 notes than any other returning character:

  • She can now perform interactions while in “Surging Crimson” or the hold-dodge special movement state, which instantly ends her transformed state — a genuine quality-of-life gain when a chest or NPC sits mid-fight
  • Improved visuals on her 5th Basic Attack hit against off-balance targets
  • Fixed: “Instant Strike” could drop damage against multiple targets while “Snowfall Slope” was active
  • Fixed: her stamina could drain at abnormal rates when entering the hold-dodge state
  • Fixed: wall-climbing animations playing incorrectly out of the hold-dodge state

Those names — Surging Crimson, Snowfall Slope, Instant Strike — are the officially published pieces of her kit, and they line up with the transformation-and-burst pattern her build guides describe.

There is also a knock-on fix for Hotori, who “did not gain Defiant Spirit when spending stacks of Menacing Gaze while recording and replaying Shinku’s Skills” — a strong hint that the two are designed to be played together.

Story and Bond content

Version 1.2 added a City Hangouts story featuring Shinku (unlocked by obtaining her, or by completing “Fighting with a Dragon”), a Home Time invitation mode at the required Bond Level, text message conversations, a combat tutorial, and a passenger-seat ride-along at higher Bond.

Where she sits now

On our Version 1.3 tier list Shinku holds an S placement: she is a proven carry that the developer is actively polishing rather than leaving alone. If you already own her, the 1.3 interaction change is a real uplift; if you do not, your realistic options are waiting for a rerun or building around Zankou or the current Nanally rerun instead.
