NTE Vehicles Guide: How to Get Cars, Bikes and the Tide Watercraft
Driving is not a side mode in NTE. It is how you cross Hethereau, how several income activities work, and where a good chunk of the game’s cosmetic economy lives.
How to buy a car
Vehicles are purchased with Fons at the TerraX vehicle dealership. The most recent example with a confirmed price is the Version 1.3 addition:
- Sirocco — Fons ×4,000,000, permanent stock at TerraX
That number is the reason the Fons farming guide exists. A single car costs more than most players earn in their first week.
Vehicles that came from limited content
| Vehicle | Source | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Sirocco | TerraX dealership, Fons ×4,000,000 | Permanent |
| Draco | Neon Rift mystery box (Version 1.2) | Limited — box closed August 19, 2026 |
| Tide (watercraft) | Lucent Tides mystery box (Version 1.3) | Limited — until September 30, 2026 |
The Tide is worth calling out: it is summonable in ocean and lake areas, which matters now that Duskmoor’s Tearlake and Starfall Bay are in the game. See the map guide.
Liveries: where the cosmetics come from
Liveries are vehicle skins, and they arrive through four channels:
- Limited boards — “Sandy Mirage” for the Sirocco (Alluring Shadows), “Tiger Incoming!” for the M1000 (The Ichi-daime), “Three’s Company” for the B100 (The Lifeline), “Hidden Dragon” for the Blizzard-V4 (Before the Dawn)
- The shop — the Porsche 918 Spyder liveries “Tomato Dash” and “Rose & Violet” at Riftcrystal ×980 or Fons ×3,000,000 (one or the other, not both)
- Mystery boxes — the Everdriving boxes from the Porsche collaboration
- Perks milestone pages — the 50/120/200 roll rewards on each board
Named vehicle models seen so far include the Sirocco, M1000, B100, Blizzard-V4, Draco and the Porsche 918 Spyder from the collaboration.
What you actually do with a car
- City Delivery — delivery orders across the city; Version 1.3 added orders for the new locations and, crucially, Auto-Drive support
- Swift Cab — passenger orders, also extended to the new Duskmoor locations in 1.3 (the notes also mention updated voice lines for unhappy passengers)
- Races — Challenge — course runs; 1.3 added the routes Night Raptor, Chapter Nova, First Sense and Silver Crown
- Races — Online — multiplayer racing, with multiple new racetracks in 1.3
- Passenger ride-alongs — reach the required Bond Level with a character and they will ride shotgun; added for Shinku, Iroi and Zankou in successive versions
Version 1.3 also enabled Photo Mode while driving, and lets you display rare big fish on the back of your car — see fishing.
A note on stolen cars
“Can you keep stolen cars” is one of the most common searches attached to this game, and we are not going to answer it with a guess. The official notes do not address vehicle theft ownership rules, and we could not verify a claim either way from a source worth citing. If Hotta Studio documents it — or we can verify it from an official channel — this section gets updated rather than filled with speculation.
Priorities
- Complete deliveries and cab runs early — they are income and they teach the map
- Do not buy a livery before you own a car worth putting it on
- Time big Fons purchases around Gold Clash windows, when Pink Paws Heist pays double — see the events guide
